Our Drawer Magnets or Magnetic Drawer, also called chute magnets provide excellent and valuable protection for injection molding machines, molds and dies from medium and fine ferrous contaminants or particles in dry, free flowing products under gravity flow.
Mounted on the throat of the molding machine, the tramp metal will be stopped from flowing into the machine by powerful rare earth neodymium magnets to capture and hold ferrous particulates so small that may not be visible to the naked eye.

Multiple staggered rows provide maximum contact area for product flow. As product flows through the stainless steel housing, it cascades over the staggered rows of magnetic tubes or magnetic bar.

Funtion of Drawer Magnet, Magnetic Drawer, Chute Magnet:
Small ferrous particles are pulled to the surface of the magnets where they move to the underside of the tube to prevent any washoff.
Drawer Magnets should be cleaned periodically for the most efficient performance. To clean the magnetic tubes, release the latch assembly and open the door. Remove the grate assemblies one at a time and remove the tramp metal by hand.
 
Drawer magnets are available in painted and stainless steel in different styles to suit specific application needs.

Externally isolate the product flow, release the securing bolts and withdraw the easy-clean grid assembly. Once the Easy-Clean Grid magnet is extracted from the housing, simply enable the release mechanism, pull the magnetic cores out of the Stainless Steel cartridge and the contamination simply falls away.
