Product Description

Lifting Socket

The system comprises a cast-in lifting socket that is drilled laterally below the threaded portion in order to take a reinforcing bar that is located and tied to the main reinforcement to provide the user with a positive and secure anchorage point. They are available in both stainless steel and zinc-plated steel to offer some protection against corrosion. Each socket can be supplied with two plastic inserts. The upper one (optional extra)is used to prevent the ingress of dirt into the threads whilst the lower one (standard) is used to prevent the ingress of concrete during the casting process.

Lifting Sockets are widely used in the application of precast concrete construction, such as lifting beams, walls, and floor slabs, etc.

A reinforcement bar is to be inserted through the cross hole to transfer the load into the concrete, In order to distribute the forces into the concrete, a bent reinforcement bar of BST 500 s must be inserted through the cross hole of Lifting Sockets, The reinforcement bar can be spread or have parallel sides.

To guarantee the local force transmittance in the concrete, a certain edge distance must be observed, for safety reason, the thickness of the panel must not fall short of a certain minimum.

Dimensions and Safe Working Loads at concrete strength of 15 N/mm2
